The work is developed through the design and implementation of a sound-creation workshop and a live performance, through a selection of musical instruments from different countries and cultures, to be explored as sound entities, as a physical body that produces certain acoustic qualities.
Musical instruments, although considered as physical bodies to produce music, are sound bodies in themselves, as far as materials, structure, shape and acoustic resonance characteristics are concerned. As well, each of them has a collective history, in terms of the cultural group to whom they belong; and an individual one, because of its process of elaboration and its particular performing possibilities.
